While mention about Chinese new year, many people may think of red、hilarious and family reunion. People may prepare for almost a moth to celebrate the festival. There are a lot of interesting stories toward Chinese new year. It is the best time to seeing the quintessence of Chinese culture.
In Chinese culture, people regard red as a fortuitous color. Children may receive red envelope which is used to load money form the adults. People may stick on some red scissor-cut and spring Festival couplets which had been written down many holiday words on the wall or window whether inside or outside of the house. People may also hang gold and red decoration their house such as flowers and monthly calendar.
While new year is coming, everybody may become much busier. Each family has to clean up the house totally. Parents or grandparents may busy in preparing traditional food for the Supreme Being and our ancestor. Children may play firecrackers and asking for dressing on their new clothing. Nowadays many people may regard Chinese new year as a troublesome date so they would rather to go aboard and take a rest during the vacation. In fact, my father told me that the festival has an important usage--it is the time to caring about your belongings and cousins. Whether they are good or bad, at least we may get together. Maybe it is the reason why the relations between Chinese people may be much stronger.
Chinese called their new year “guo nian”. In fact, it originally came form a immemorial story. In the ancient China, people are afraid of a monster which is called “Nian”. Nian fixed attacked people at this time each year. Finally, people got together and make a racket to scare it away. Since that time, people got together and made hilarious atmosphere. In Chinese, “gup” means pass, “Nian” originally means the monster but today people may no longer remind the story.
Another vintage story is about spring Festival couplets. In the Ming Dynasty, there is a nice queen named Ma. One day, the emperor heard that people were laughing at Queen Ma’s big feet by making riddle. He was very angry about it and sent his bodyguard to stick on a red paper on the house where the men who made the riddle lived. He intended to kill them after he returned to the palace. As soon as Queen knew it, she sent people to stick red papers on almost all houses in the city so the emperop can't punish people. Finally, Queen Ma told the emperor that it was not a big deal besides her feet is really bigger than the other girls at that time. People loved Queen Ma even more and wouldn’t laugh at big feet anymore. As time goes by, people not only stick red papers in order to ask for luck but also write down poems or meaningful words in order to make wishes and celebrate the new year.
Chinese new year is the most important festival in traditional Chinese culture. An article is not enough to show how colorful and how many details people shell notice during new year. I really enjoy it and treasure it as my favorite festival.

Single family
Single family means that a family composed by a single parent and children. There are hundreds of causes of single family, such as unmarried to give birth、adoption or divorced parent. However, the transition of the society has a big influence, too. Today, single family has become a generally phenomenon. A single parent or child who came from single family might own some character, too.
Factors of single family are many. The divorced rate has been rising and caused a lot of single family. Many women would rather to adopt a child because they are afraid their body ship may change. Angelina Jolie is a nice example. Besides, there are still other more deeply cause reasons such as view of sex has become very open; some famous people have babies before married; women owns more ideas of their own and economy powers…etc.

The Top Three Countries I’d Like to Take a Trip to.
The top three countries I’d like to take a trip to is Japan、Seattle and Rome. My dream is to traveling around the world. I’d like to take a look at the different sights and proved what I had learned. I often watch discovery channel and travel & living channel to experience some places I dare not to take a trip to such as rainforest and minority groups. However, three are places is not enough satisfied though watching TV show.
First, I want to go to Japan in spring and enjoy the cherry blossoms sea. Because I’ve learned Japanese and knows a lot of their culture from comic books、magazine and TV shows. I can even speak a little Japanese before I started to learn Japanese. I’d like to go to Japan with my parents and grandpa. My grandpa knows a little Japanese. My father has studied traditional Taiwanese songs very well so he is interesting in Japanese traditional song. My mother is a beautiful lady so I hope we can wear Japanese traditional costume and make pictures in front of their landscape garden.
Second, I hope I can go to Seattle and stayed there for few days. I wouldn’t like to act as a tourist there. What people really need is to lead a different kind of life sometimes. I may walk in a park with my friends every afternoon for relaxing myself. Why Seattle instead of the other countries? Because my mother have been there and she told me a lot of information about Seattle, in my imagination it must be one of the most ideal place to live.
Third, I hope I can take a trip to Rome at least once. Rome is renaissance’s birthplace. In the west, almost the most essence art including sculpture、structures、Christian culture are there in Rome. When I was a little girl, I wish I could be an artist but I dare not to tell anyone. Until now, I’m still fond of designing posters and keep learning the skills of making picture both by computer or drawing. I’ve taken three west literary classes and known some renaissance’s background. I hope I can make pilgrimage to Rome and make my knowledge abundant.

When mention about BDD problem, it means Body dysmorphic disorder. In another word, it is an infirmity that people may always worry part of their body is not beautiful enough but in fact it’s just like usual people. Some people even killed themselves because BDD problem. The situation has become worse and worse so more and more people notice this problem.
In fact, it has been for a long time that people suffered by BDD. However, it has become more and more serious. According to recently report in England, there are1%, about six hundred thousand people have this kind of problem. In Taiwan, two months age, a girl killed herself because her eye operation failed. In Europe, recently a model died because she was on a diet. It’s seems unbelievable but it really took place.
According to doctors, congenital defect and society values is usually the main cause reason. Here is an interesting case--a girl even thought her nose may glow up day by day. Another typical case is Michael Joseph Jackson. He turned his skin’s color from blank into white and did a lot of operation around his body. Why they have to lead such a terrible life? Society value is another influence key point. In the ancient China, people thought being a little fat is being beauty. In the present age, it might be hard for us to regard a fatty as a beauty.
Is being thin means being beauty? Not really, models eat meal to make their bottom filled out and do exercise everyday to make their muscle strong and build a wonderful body ship. Besides, what is beauty? I think she is beautiful but you might disagree. I believe that beautiful mind is more important than appearance. People will get old, even the most beautiful woman may be a wrinkled old lade. There are too many more important things that we should pay more attention on.

We can also apologize if you think it is much easier to say sorry though words. What’s more, nowadays many cell phones can take photos or listening to music. Some cell phones can even do internet access. There are still other functions including recording voice and dictionary…etc and more and more ability may be created in the future.

Where the Wild Things Are
The story “Where the Wild Things Are” is a story about a boy named Max, written by Maurice Sendak. Max liked wild things and did many wild things so his mother sent him to his room without dinner. Slowly, his room became wild and he took a boat to a island where are lived by the wild things. Those monsters tried to scare him away but Max scared them even more. Max became the King of the wild world and had fun there. As time went by, he felt hungry and wanted to go home but the monsters didn’t allow. He still went home even though the wild things show their terrible claws, roars and eyes. While he arriving his own room, there was food there and it was still hot.
I have written a composition about the definition between house and home. Home is some where can make us relax and where always welcome us. Finally, home is all we love most. Home is where we can always feel warm. No wonder this book can win awards.
